OUR STORY
Strength training is gaining ground. At the same time, so is the desire to be outdoors. With Gymboxx, we are introducing a new outdoor sports trend. A great mix of boot camp and CrossFit!
We, Jelle Rietveld and Arthur Baars, are Gymboxx, builders of outdoor gyms. A truly Dutch, vandal-proof product that can be installed and used anywhere. We started Gymboxx in 2019, driven by our shared passion for outdoor sports. Jelle has a background as a personal trainer and Arthur is a maker and welder of steel structures. We prefer to be involved in every aspect of the process.
Rachel is the marketing lead for Gymboxx UK, with over 25 years’ experience in marketing, communications, and business development across the not-for-profit and engineering sectors. Based in Northumberland, she leads an active outdoor lifestyle and spends much of her time supporting her three rugby-playing teenagers. She works closely with the Gymboxx Netherlands team to ensure the brand connects with UK schools, clubs, organisations and communities that value high-quality outdoor training.
It starts with the location. What is possible and what is allowed. Together with you, we determine the best, most interesting setup to get the most out of your outdoor gym, the Gymboxx. We then help with transport and installation on site. After delivery, we are even happy to give you a training session to show you how to use it and what workouts you can offer from the Gymboxx.
TRADITIONAL DUTCH
All parts are manufactured in our own workshop in Rijswijk. This guarantees the best quality and good delivery times, but it also allows us to easily adapt the Gymboxx container and training racks to the application and specific requirements. A school or the Defense special forces, that makes quite a difference. The size, the racks, or the training materials supplied. We tailor it to the application requirements.
STURDY AND SUPER SOLID
The design of Gymboxx products is based on years of experience in outdoor sports. We exclusively select first-class materials suitable for the Dutch climate and use for the most demanding training methods. The Gymboxx container is a new shipping container. It is suitable for transporting many tons of material by sea for years. This makes it an excellent, super-sturdy base on which to build the racks. Easy to transport, it can be placed anywhere and, if necessary, the Gymboxx can be reassembled, packed up, and moved within a few hours.
The modular training racks on the outside are made of stainless steel as standard. They are actually slightly too thick and too heavy, but this makes them extra sturdy and durable, truly suitable for outdoor use. The outside of the container is also finished with an industrial 2-layer paint system, in your color, featuring your logos and branding.
